Breakdown of Biology syllabus for NEET

NEET is an online entrance test for students aspiring to pursue graduate courses from any of the Indian medical colleges. It consists of 180 Questions with a time duration of 3 hours. Out of the 180 questions, 90 questions are from biology, 45 questions are from physics and 45 questions are from chemistry. Each right answer carries 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer, answers not attempted are given no marks. The maximum marks that can be scored by a student are 720 marks. Biology having the most weightage has more syllabus to be covered and it can be difficult to complete the entire syllabus without having a plan. All questions are based on the NCERT books of grade XI and XII.

It can often be overwhelming to have a lot of syllabus on hand. On knowing the weightage of each topic, a proper plan can be made to cover the entire syllabus efficiently. This saves a lot of time that a student puts into preparation.
